SCC, the students view
Following on from the very successful SCC 75th Anniversary programme, the Kylemore College Krew has been out and about again talking to students about their involvement in SCC activities. Aaron and Keith bring you interviews from the Boxing Finals in the National Stadium and the Battle of the Bands in Kylemore College. The team also managed to track down Mr Kelly to 'Talk About Me I'm Deadly'. This show is presented by Jessica and Keith with tunes from Usher, The Beach Boys, The Beatles and The Underdog Project. SCC 75th Anniversary Special
KCK Radio is proud to present a special hour long feature to mark the 75 year anniversary of the City of Dublin VEC Sports and Cultural Council. This programme charts the journey through the 75 year history of the SCC and includes interviews with; Jim Cooke, a retired teacher and historian who has been commissioned to produce a 75th anniversary book and Vincent Sammon, retired director of the Prison Education Service. The Kylemore College Krew also spoke to Jacinta Stewart SCC President and CEO of CDVEC, Eithne Davey SCC Chairperson & Jim O Dea SCC Secretary about the internal workings of the SCC committee. Contributions on the Sports and Cultural activities of the SCC come from Joe Vaughan, Richie Barrett, Jim O Connell, Frank Allen & Stephen Perry. The students involved in the making of this programme were Troy Curtis & Luke Smyth (1st year) and Jessica Curley, Aaron Murphy & Keith Swaine (2nd year). The advertisement for Mary J Styles fashions in Ballyfermot was created by students from transition year class 401 and was the winning project in a radio advertising module undertaken by these students this year. We hope you enjoy this very special KCK programme marking a milestone for a unique organisation in the Irish education system.
This programme was produced by the five students mentioned above with the assistance of Alan Kelly, production manager and music teacher in Kylemore College.

Gluais Youth Training Programme
KCK presenters Keith Swaine, Aaron Murphy and Jessica Curley are back with a programme featuring the Gluais Youth Training Programme in Kylemore College. There is the usual mix of music chat and interviews including one with Ms Fay, Gluais Coordinator in Kylemore. This is brought to us by reporters Troy Curtis and Luke Smyth. Gluais talent show winner Kevina Kelly also drops into the studio and plays one of her songs. New to this programme is a slot called 'Talk about me, I'm deadly!' but you'll have to tune in to find out more about that. KCK has also included a sample advert made by transition year students. Remember, this ad is a project so please don't call the number as you may still be charged!! Watch this space for more about ads on KCK radio.

KCK Radio is back on the air with its first show for this term. In this latest programme the Kylemore College Krew feature a Radio Drama Project created and performed by the transition year students of class 401. The students scripted, performed and recorded four original short dramas highlighting issues that teens face in their lives. Upfront and hard-hitting, emotive issues such as alcohol & drug abuse, bullying and teenage pregnancy are explored. The students were assisted by Mr Murphy and Ms Keena their English teachers, Ms Moore their SNA and Mr Kelly their Music teacher. This programme is presented by Aaron Murphy and Jessica Curley with interviews by Keith Swaine, Troy Curtis and Luke Smyth.

Green Flag Special!
For the final programme of this school year KCK radio decided to mark the award of the Green Flag to Kylemore College. The KCK Green Flag special comes to you from Green Flag Headquarters (Room 108). Presenters Keith and Ryan discuss the Green Schools Initiative with the members of Kylemore's Green Flag Committee and Robert and Aaron bring you interviews with some very special guests. Top 10 Music Show & SCC Battle of the Bands '09 Report & Interviews
KCK Radio The Kylemore College Krew is proud to present The KCK Top 10 Music Chart Show 2009. During the month of March students from first year class Elm asked all students in the college to vote for their top 3 favourite songs. Miss Sharkey's computer class put together a very colourful powerpoint display during 'Radio Week' to create publicity for this project. The result is nearly one hour of comments, requests and suggestions as well as the finest music voted for by you. This programme was presented by Aaron, Ryan, Robert and Keith and produced by Keith with a little help from Mr. Kelly. Enjoy the loudest and the longest KCK programme to date!

Chuir daltaí ó Rang 402 clár ceoil le chéile do Sheachtain na Gaeilge. Is é Ciarán an láithreoir agus tugann Aaron cabhair dó. Ceol a roghnaigh Ciarán agus Aaron atá ar an gclár. Cuireann “slán” ón rang ar fad clabhsúr leis an gclár.
Students from Class 402 made a music programme for Seachtain na Gaeilge. Ciarán is the presenter with some help from Aaron. Ciarán and Aaron choose the music for the programme. A big “slán” from the entire class brings the programme to a close.
