Leaving Certificate Applied in Kylemore College is a two-year programme of study and continual assessment leading to the award of the Leaving Certificate Applied by the Department of Education and Skills.
Students are assessed on their participation in a range of modules over the course of four sessions. Credits are awarded on participation in the modules and the completion of Key Assignments and Tasks. There are also credits awarded in the Leaving Certificate Applied examination after Session 4. The library is available to students for researching and preparing their tasks for assessment.
Students may obtain a Pass, Merit or Distinction in the Leaving Certificate Applied, depending on the number of Credits that are accumulated over the two years and in the final examination. Progression to further courses of study and employment are the options open to students who are successful in the Leaving Certificate Applied.
